In an interview with the American Cable News Network, popularly known as CNN, the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky explained that the prevalence of bomb detonation and other terrorist activities in Muslim lands is the Handwork of the American government and its Zionist allies in their desperation to discredit Islam and Muslims because these happenings were unheard of before the entry of their entry into Iraq, Afghanistan and recently Pakistan.
During the interview, the Sheikh said it is inconceivable that someone with an ideology that he hopes to carry people along, would wear a belt laden with explosives and blow himself off in a crowded public place, killing himself and the people he claims to want to guide. “what would he have achieved by that?” he asked. Explaining further, he said it looks more like some one is doing that in the name of, and may even claim it in a fake website, just to discredit the man he calls terrorist and his ideology.
