ISMA Raises Development Funds

POINTER NO 57The Islamic Movement Medical Association of Nigeria ISMA has realized N3.9 million in cash and about double the amount in pledges at a book launch that took place at the end of the 14th annual seminar of the Association held in the Kaduna Center recently.

The fund raising event was for the purpose of enhancing the activities of the Association by purchasing all necessary working materials, building a Medical Center and also purchasing an ambulance. A medical enlightenment handbook written in Hausa 'Lafiya Ni'imar Allah' meaning 'health is God's bounty', by Abdul Karim Usamah, was launched in order to enhance the fund raising. Elucidating on the book, the author said, “The book is to enlighten the public on the need for good health education, and the book, which is written in Hausa contains necessary information on healthcare.”
