We Have To Be Useful To The People And Society In General

Says Malam Turi, at Katsina Mu'utamar

He started by explaining the original of aim of creation by Allah Ta'ala which is to worship Allah SWT. He also explained that Allah SWT gave this Amana to all other creations but they became afraid and so did not take it, but man (being self-oppressing) took it.

He said that the present situation of living in the world is the arena of fulfilling the original covenant of worshiping Allah (SWT) as earlier taken in front of Allah (SWT) as reported in Qur'an . The fact that we might have forgotten about the covenant is not an excuse.

Our aim as a movement from the onset is not more than to be able to discharge this covenant with Allah SWT , so that in the end we become worthy of Allah's grace and possible commendation.

Luckily Allah ta'ala did not leave us un aided and has given us Malam (H) who, after starting the movement, for the last 30 years has been leading us in the struggle towards this aim despite various efforts by those who are averse to this to stop him.

He reminded the audience that this idea began with only one person and by and large reach this enviable positions by Allah's grace . This is a testimony of Allah's help on this course.

He recollected how very few brothers and sisters use to attend Ijtima's and other programs Nationwide. At that time the brothers and sisters were merely waiting for the day the authorities would finish them all as done to the earlier prophets. But alas, “with Allah's help, the struggle has survived this far and by Allah's grace we have remained on the course so far”.

As time went on according to M. Turi, people have come to identify with ideals of this movement. He then asked “if we are to ask ourselves what are the things that would help us in realizing this aim?”. They are 3, he answered;

The first is depending on Allah Ta'ala and resigning to his will as the sole disposer of issues, the all powerful, the all knowing. This is because whoever is helped by Allah cannot be defeated.

To show the importance of this he gave the example of some one's comment on Imam Khomein (Q.S) where he said Imam Khomein had only one heart and he gave it to Allah SWT and Allah gave him the heart of people. He took time to underscore the importance of Mu'utamirat where brothers and sisters gather to remind themselves, strengthen themselves and command each other on good deeds and bad deeds. Such is what will bring the Rahma of Allah. And if Allah SWT shower his Rahma on us, no one will harm us.

The second is trying by everyone to be more useful to servants of Allah, who are the family of Allah. This also brings further Rahma on us and His Help, protection and Nasara. Thus reinforcing our relationship with Allah's servants. He encouraged the brothers to offer various possible help to the people in their centers, this could include provision of water, Medicine, and even food, especially with the present failure of government in provision of any essential goods and services to the people

The third and last is knowing, understanding and impeccable loyalty to leadership. Leadership is the medium through which Allah bestows His Guidance and Help to His servants. Elaborating on this point, he reiterated that leadership is chosen by Allah and it is not for us to doubt Allah's choice. What is requested of us is just to follow the guidance as shown by the exemplary leadership Allah has given us.
