Sisters Forum Kaduna Visit Yusuf Dan Tsoho Memorial HospitalBy Abdul Mumin Giwa
The team of representatives at the visit was led by Malama Jamila Mukhtar, the wife of the Head of the Kaduna Center who described the visit as one of the various activities undertaken by the Sisters' Forum some of which also include visiting of Orphanages and Motherless Babies' homes. The places visited by the Sisters include the Female Ward, Female Surgical Ward, Genecology Department and the Children's Ward all of where they dropped parcels of cash gifts as assistance to the patients visited. Malama Jamila said, “We were tasked by the leader of the Islamic Movement to engage in visits like these to hospitals and orphanages” while commenting on the reason for the visit. She also expressed the milestones involved in the visit hoping that they could do better that they have done. She said, “Had it been we have enough money we would do far better than we have done. We would provide enough for the treatment of the patients. But we are grateful to God Almighty for the little we have done”. She also prayed for the quick recovery of the patients most especially those that do not have enough money to treat themselves. Malama Jamila expressed dismay with the way and manner the patients are being neglected and blamed it all on the authorities. She said, “Most of the problems being faced by the people are as a result of negligence by those in authority who decide to do away with what is meant for millions for their personal aggrandizements.” She called on other groups and organizations to make it part of their activities to visit hospitals to assist the sick.
